Sold only as Dealer installed accessories up-pipes, front brakes and folding kickstarter etc. Safety bar and speedometers are the only factory installed options. April 25th Thoroughbred first scheduled prod. week of May 9th it replaced the Stallion. Handle bars raised for Thoroughbreds used on all bikes. 5 hp. engine for Pony and Thoroughbred only. Fenders became narrow. Amal carburetors no longer in use. |

Mustang Motorcycles discontinued production in 1965. After that, a few folks like Don Orr continued to (re) build and sell mustangs, only a handful have been reported to exist, no one knows for sure, and most are "custom", or unlike any of the above models.
Mustang Motorcycle Sales Sun Valley California.423 chrome parts. First production run was to be 200 Stallions.
Don Orr bikes built in late 1970 early 1971. Believed to have built 6-50(?) bikes, some
with Van Sol paint jobs. Most were Stallion and Broncos, but he did make one Pony. Complete stock of parts 48 thru 65 |
